Practising primarily in the area of commercial litigation, Peter’s experience sees him work across a number of industries in relation to litigious matters, as well as non-litigious matters requiring court approval. Highly principled, Peter aims to resolve matters with minimum disruption to his clients.

Peter works with clients to bring and resolve disputes arising primarily from contractual breakdowns, misleading or deceptive conduct and other competition, consumer or defamation claims.

His areas of industry expertise include mining and resources, intellectual property and technology, property and native title.

Peter also specialises in administrative law. His judicial review experience includes advising government clients in relation to proper decision making processes, and acting for government and private clients in the Queensland and Federal Courts in relation to reviews under the Administrative Decisions (Judicial Review) Act (Cth), the Judicial Review Act 1991 (Qld), and the Judiciary Act 1903 (Cth).

Peter acts for clients in schemes of arrangement under the Corporations Act and manages litigation due diligence for corporate clients in relation to M&A matters.

He is a Nationally Accredited Mediator and specialises in resources, property, shareholder and other commercial disputes. Peter is appointed by the President of the Land Court of Queensland to the Court’s ADR Panel.

Previously working in-house at the global head office of an international travel group, Peter assisted with dispute matters as well as commercial negotiations with travel services and software suppliers.
