McCullough Robertson has successfully advised Consolidated Pastoral Company (CPC) on its acquisition of Vermelha Station, a significant Northern Territory agricultural property. The transaction, valued in excess of $48 million, included the acquisition of cattle and a water licence from the property’s Vietnamese vendors and further strengthens CPC’s position as one of Australia’s leading agribusinesses.
Our team advised CPC throughout the transaction, including acquisition structuring, due diligence, negotiation of land and asset purchase agreements, financing arrangements, regulatory approvals and settlement. This included securing FIRB approval and Northern Territory Ministerial consent, advising on ACCC and complex GST issues, negotiating finance documentation, and coordinating transaction stamping requirements.
This transaction builds on our longstanding relationship with CPC and follows our role in the acquisitions of Beetaloo Station and Rawlinna Station in 2025, as well as advising on the FIRB approval process for CPC’s recent acquisition of Madura Plains Station. The matter reflects a seamless cross-practice effort across Real Estate, Corporate, Finance, Tax, and Project Approvals teams.
